AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Bidding and Buying:
- Each participant wishing to bid must register prior to the auction by providing the requested information. This ensures due diligence checks can be carried out. Re-Imagine Ontario reserves the right to refuse participation at its discretion.
- By participating, each bidder represents and warrants that their bids are not the result of any collusive or anti-competitive agreements and are compliant with Canadian law.
- It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of details entered in the online registration form.
- The Auction:
- Items are offered subject to a reserve price.
- The auction will be conducted in CAD. International participants are responsible for any exchange rate differences.
- Re-Imagine Ontario reserves the right to refuse any bid, withdraw items, or re-offer an item for sale if there is a reasonable belief of an error or dispute. The auctioneer may resolve issues as deemed appropriate.
- The highest bidder at auction close will be the purchaser. This marks the contract of sale between the bidder and Re-Imagine Ontario.
- Payment:
- The bid amount is the final price. Payment is due immediately upon invoice receipt. No additional fees apply for the bid price.
- Ownership of the item will not transfer until full payment is received.
- Payment must be made by the account holder of the winning bid.
- Shipping fees, if applicable, are the responsibility of the buyer.
- Shipping:
- Items will be shipped from Re-Imagine Ontario’s designated location.
- Some items may be sent via insured shipping.
- Shipping fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Items cannot be undervalued or marked differently to avoid shipping taxes.
- Failure to Pay, Collect, and Cancellation:
- If payment is made but shipping fees are unpaid or a shipping address is not provided within 3 months, the sale stands, but HST exemption may not apply.
- Non-payment of shipping fees or failure to provide a shipping address within 6 months will cancel the sale, with fees paid considered a donation to Re-Imagine Ontario.
- Non-payment within 6 months may result in cancellation and the item being offered to underbidders or re-auctioned.
- Re-Imagine Ontario reserves the right to rescind a sale if there is doubt about the seller’s ownership.
- Failure to pay within 6 months may lead to exclusion from future auctions.
- Reselling or Reproducing:
- Reproduction, duplication, or resale of auction items is prohibited and may result in legal action and exclusion from future auctions.
