Our program is about providing support through connecting youth with a mental health professional and peers who are also share the same lived experience who can impart their own experience and provide encouragement and support.
The program operates in an informal, social setting that allow participants to bond. Light refreshments are served.
Our support volunteers help students and mentors discuss their professions, business, or service and take questions. They discuss various career options, schoolwork, college, help youth with college applications, choosing a college, self-care, budgets and any other topic young adults may be interested in discussing. The programs also offers limited summer jobs placements and helps to connect youth with potential employers.

Re-Imagine Ontario wants to spread our message that we can be the change we seek through hope, compassion and action. We believe that a single action can make a difference in our communities, and that collective action can change the world. Through action, partnership, and outreach, Re-Imagine Ontario works tirelessly each day to support, and change perceptions about the most vulnerable among us. Come join us as we work to change lives.
Our vision is to improve the social and economic indicators of all vulnerable populations.
We see value in everyone. For a brief moment, let’s re-imagine Ontario where everyone can share the Canadian dream regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or politics. Where we look out for each other and support the most vulnerable among us. Where a culture of care is the norm rather than the exception.
Our vision re-imagines a world where we change lives through community. We believe that if we each do our small part to reach out to that young person struggling with family, school, or career, or that new immigrant who is unsure of their footing in our great country, or that isolated senior who just needs to hear a friendly voice, then that’s one additional step in creating healthy, productive, safe, and happy communities.
We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and we are driven by the same ideas we initially founded our organization upon: support, empowerment, progress, and changing lives.
Our mission is to improve the health, education and employment of vulnerable people, with focus on black and indigenous youth, by fostering strong community support networks.
Our youth mental health programs address the problem in Ontario where one in five young person is not fully accessing the mental help they need. Low income and racialized youth are among those most impacted.
We also address mental health in seniors through our friendly visiting programs for isolated seniors.
We also do our part to help with better outcomes in education, especially in vulnerable communities. If young people have role models from within their communities, they will benefit from them. Our mentoring programs introduce young people to successful people from within their own communities, who will share their own stories and provide useful life lessons.
Our mission also extends to fostering support for individuals who are vulnerable due to the frailty that often comes with aging, through our in-home supports.
We want to thank these generous and supportive organizations who have provided funding and those individuals and organizations who are working in partnership with Re-Imagine Ontario.
